MONTE RIO – The Bohemian Club’s Annual Summer Encampment came to a close here Sunday, ending a two-week retreat for the rich and powerful that President Herbert Hoover once called “the greatest men’s party on Earth.” The club’s famed annual gathering has been held for more than 100 years at the 2,700-acre Bohemian Grove in Monte Rio, about 70 miles north of San Francisco in Sonoma County.

This year’s event drew in notables such as former President George Bush, Texas Gov. George W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, retired Gen. Colin Powell, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Dow Chemical Chairman Frank Popoff, as well as actor Danny Glover.

The men gather to celebrate what they call “the spirit of Bohemia,” said Peter Phillips, a Sonoma State University sociology professor who wrote his doctoral dissertation on the Bohemian Club.

“This is a place men can go and hang out with people who are similar to them,” he said.

The annual gathering near the Russian River, which was first held in 1879, starts with the “Cremation of Care” ritual, in which the club’s mascot is burned in effigy to an owl god (Moloch), symbolizing a freedom from care. Members also perform several plays, and gourmet food and expensive wine are plentiful.

While the club was formed in 1872 by a group of San Francisco journalists, the male-only club now bars journalists from membership to protect the group’s privacy. Membership is coveted, and people routinely wait 10 or 15 years before gaining admittance. There are currently about 2,700 members.

Bohemian Grove Action Network has periodically held demonstrations at the grove, although none were held this year.

The August 2, 1982 edition of Newsweek magazine reported:

“... the world’s most prestigious summer camp – the Bohemian Grove – is now in session 75 miles north of San Francisco. The fiercely guarded, 2,700-acre retreat is the country extension of San Francisco’s all-male ultra-exclusive Bohemian Club to which every Republican President since Herbert Hoover has belonged.

With its high-powered clientele, coveted privacy and cabalistic rituals, the Bohemian Grove has prompted considerable suspicion.”

Maclean’s magazine, March 23, 1981 reported:

Each summer, for three weekends – this year’s will be the 103rd – nearly 2,000 Bohemians, with guests in tow, speed in by car and corporate jet to their guarded Grove, close by the hamlet of Monte Rio (population 1,200) on the Russian River.

The Grove’s Shakespearean motto, “Weaving spiders come not here,” is an injunction to forget wheeling and dealing which is widely ignored. While ‘ruling-class cohesiveness’ rarely lets slip details of accommodations arrived at there, some – such as the 1967 agreement by Ronald Reagan, over a drink with Richard Nixon, to stay out of the coming presidential race – have helped mould America’s destiny.

Oddly enough, reporters are barred from this club, formed one night in 1872 by five bored news hawks on the old San Francisco Examiner to promote good fellowship (i.e., booze-ups) and ‘to help elevate journalism to that place in the popular estimation to which it is entitled.’ That aspiration went down the drain when membership was extended to show people, and by 1878, the year of the first Grove-fest, the journalist were already on their way out.

Today, a prospective member faces an interrogation that, according to one club man, ‘would satisfy the KGB.’ There is a waiting list of 1,500 notables, all eager to pay the $2,500 initiation fee and $600-a-year dues.”

Mother Jones, August 1981 volume 6 page 28, reported a partial list of some of the prominent members:

“George P. Shultz, Stephen Bechtel, Jr., Gerald R. Ford, Henry Kissinger, William F. Buckley, Jr., Fred L. Hartley, Merv Griffin, Thomas Haywood, Joseph Coors, Edward Teller, Ronald Reagan, A. W. Clausen, George Bush, William French Smith, John E. Swearingten, Casper W. Weinberger, Justin Dart, William E. Simon, and hundreds of other prominent politicos and businessmen.”

Antony C. Sutton, editor of an excellent monthly newsletter, Phoenix Letter, stated in the October, 1996 edition:

“Up to a few months ago, our knowledge of Bohemian Grove, the exclusive elitist hideaway by supposedly adult wheeler dealers, a.k.a. Washington statesman and prominent people (all male).

We dismissed the behavior as immature, even pitiful, by emotionally disturbed juveniles and not worth attention. This is where Kissinger, Ford, Nixon, Bechtel, Bush, Cheney, Hoover and their friends (2600 members) hang out and “relax.” And if they want to behave as little boys that is their privilege, it is private property.

Recent information may radically change this perception of Bohemian Grove. Not merely drunkenness, unbounded use of alcohol and drugs with vague homosexual tones (confirmed by our sources) but reported activities much more serious – kidnapping, rape, paedophilia, sodomy, ritual murder. Investigation is blocked under the 1947 National Security Act.(!) and like the Omaha child abuse case, includes illegal detention of children.

For decades, there have been vague rumors of weird goings on in Bohemian Grove in more remote parts of its 2200 acres. Reliable reports claim Druidic like rituals - druids in red hooded robes marching in procession and chanting to the Great Owl (Moloch) - a funeral pyre with “corpses”. (Scores of men work in the Bohemian Grove as servants so this party is fairly well established.)

An article in a local community newspaper, Santa Rosa Sun (1993, July) reported on the Cult of Canaan and the legend of Moloch in place at Bohemian Grove.

The Moloch Pagan Cult of Sacrifice is human sacrifice. About the mid 1980s there were rumors of murders in remote parts of the property. A local police investigation went nowhere. State investigators on related criminal acts went nowhere.

According to an observer and near victim, who can describe the Bohemian Grove inner hideaways, the closed sanctum, even the decor at secret locations, places where no outsider goes (or servants according to our sources) there is an UNDERGROUND lounge (sign spelled U.N.derground) a Dark Room, a Leather Room and a Necrophilia Room.

Here is one of O’Brien’s quotes: “Slaves of advancing age or with failed programming were sacrificially murdered at random in the wooded grounds of Bohemian Grove and I felt it was only a matter of time until it would be me.” This potential victim survived. Others reportedly did not.

These cults were based on human sacrifice. Why would a 20th century resort reproduce the cult ceremonies? At the minimum, it demonstrates an attraction to the ceremonial practices of the cult, i.e. adoration of destruction, blood, barbarity and sacrifice of children.

In brief, the O’Brien charges are consistent with the tenants of Bohemian Grove as played out in ceremony. This is not a resort devoted to, for example, tennis or swimming. It is apparently devoted to blood sacrifices.

What is the Bohemian Grove?

The Bohemian Grove is a 2700 acre redwood forest, located in Monte Rio, CA. It contains accommodation for 2000 people to “camp” in luxury. It is owned by the Bohemian Club.

What is the Bohemian Club?

The Bohemian Club is a private all male club, which is headquartered in the Bohemian building in San Francisco. It was formed in 1872 by men who sought shelter from the frontier culture (or lack of culture).

Who are the present members?

The Club has evolved into an association of rich and powerful men, mostly of this country (there are similar organizations in other countries). Some artists are allowed to join (often at reduced rates), because of their social status and entertainment value. The membership list has included every Republican U.S. president (as well as some Democrats) since 1923, many cabinet officials, and directors & CEO’s of large corporations, including major financial institutions.

What industries are represented among the members?

Major military contractors, oil companies, banks including the Federal Reserve), utilities (including nuclear power), and national media (broadcast and print) have high-ranking officials as club members or guests. Many members are, or have been, on the board of directors of several of these corporations. You should note that most of the above industries depend heavily on a relationship with government for their profitability.

The members stay in different camps at the Grove, which have varying status levels. Members and frequent guests of the most prestigious camp (Mandalay) include: Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, S. D. Bechtel, Jr., Thomas Watson Jr. (IBM), Phillip Hawley (B of A), William Casey (CIA), and Ralph Bailey (Dupont). George Bush resides in a less prestigious camp (Hillbillies) with A. W. Clausen (World Bank), Walter Cronkite, and William F. Buckley.

What activities take place at the grove?

The grove is the site of a two week retreat every July (as well as other smaller get-togethers throughout the year). At these retreats, the members commune with nature in a truly original way. They drink heavily from morning through the night, bask in their freedom to urinate on the redwoods, and perform pagan rituals – including the “Cremation of Care”, in which the members wearing red-hooded robes, cremate a coffin effigy of “Dull Care” at the base of a 40 foot owl altar. Some (20%) engage in homosexual activity (but few of them support gay rights or AIDS research).

They watch (and participate in) plays and comedy shows in which women are portrayed by male actors. Although women are not allowed in the Grove, members often leave at night to enjoy the company of the many prostitutes who come from around the world for this event. Is any of this hard to believe? Employees of the Grove have said that no verbal description can accurately portray the bizarre behavior of the Grove’s inhabitants.

Besides this type of merriment, the annual gathering serves as an informational clearing house for the elite. The most powerful men in the country do their “networking” here, despite the Grove’s motto “weaving spiders come not here” (don’t do business in the Grove). At these gatherings men representing the government, military-industrial, and financial sectors meet and make major policy decisions.

The Manhattan project, which produced the first atomic bombs, was conceived at the Grove in 1942. Other decisions made at the Grove include who our presidential candidates will be. There are speeches, known as “Lakeside Talks”, wherein high-ranking officials disseminate information which is not available to the public-at-large.

When powerful people work together, they become even more powerful. The Grove membership is wealthy, and becoming more so, while the middle class is steadily becoming poorer. This close-knit group determines whether prices rise or fall (by their control of the banking system, money supply, and markets), and they make money whichever way markets fluctuate. They determine what our rights are and which laws have effect, by appointing judges. They decide who our highest officials shall be by consensus among themselves, and then selling candidates to us via the media which they own. Important issues and facts are omitted from discussion in the press, or slanted to suit their goals, but they are discussed frankly at the Grove.

Is there true democracy when so much power is concentrated in so few hands? Is there any real difference between the public and private sectors when cabinet members come from the boardrooms of large corporations? Is the spending of billions on weapons, which are by consensus no longer needed, really the will of the people? Or is it the will of General Electric, General Dynamics, and the other weapons contractors represented at the Grove?

What can I do to make a difference?

Educate yourself about the Grove and it’s inhabitants, and the true nature of the power structure in the world. Then educate your friends. Since most major newspapers and broadcast stations are owned by “insiders”, be wary of everything you hear in the press. If you can, participate in protest activities during the July retreat.

A Description of the Pagan Rituals of Bohemian Grove

Activist Alex Jones, infiltrated the Bohemian Grove, becoming the first journalist to capture and expose video of the bizarre, Luciferian ceremonies that have been taking place there for over 120 Years.

During the ceremony globalist leaders from across North America and the rest of the world watch as a black garbed boatman delivers the effigy of a human being to be burned at the feet of the 40-50ft tall stone owl god by robe-clad druid-like priests. Participants openly worship the owl and scream for the burning death of the human effigy.

Participants openly worshiped the owl. It appeared that low-level Acolytes were dressed in black and red robes, with higher-level priests in combinations of gold, silver and red. The high priest in silver and red robes repeatedly worshiped the owl, which he said was a symbol of Babylon and Tyre. The male-only elitist gathering chants and screams for the death of “Care” symbolized by a human body.

References and images of the owl are consistent throughout the grove, including an owl logo on the cocktail napkins, and the words “The Owl” are inscribed on the vehicles that transport people about the camp. The owl worldwide has been used as a symbol of the god of death, misfortune and human sacrifice. From Babylon to the ancient Druids the owl god has tasted its share of human blood.

Interestingly - and very significantly - the roads which surround the government buildings at Capitol Hill in Washington DC (see the green area in the map below), when seen from the air form a shape remarkably similar to the shape of the owl used in the ceremony “Cremation of Care”.

The program cover for the ceremony “Cremation of Care” depicts a skeleton, a demon, and the huge owl illuminated by flames. A small white drawing above the name of the director depicts a demon or devil with the initials PJ sweeping something up with a witch’s broom.

At the entrance to one of the camp areas there is a skull with the words – “Je Suis LaFitte.” LaFitte was a French pirate. Because the text of the sign is unclear, it can be read as saying, “Je Suis La Fille.” The translation for “Je Suis La Fille” would be either, “I am the daughter,” or “I am the girl.”

George Bush and the Secret ‘Skull & Bones’ Fraternity

This secret fraternity is based at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where many of the leading members of the U.S. government and the American intelligence community received their formal education. The Order, as it is referred to by its members, is a bastion of White Anglo Saxon Protestant (WASP) culture, which is at the core of the American 20th century outlook.

The reader will learn that President George Herbert Walker Bush’s concept of the New World Order is an old idea, one which has its origins in the philosophy and beliefs of the secret Skull & Bones fraternity. Today in particular, this is the prevailing outlook of the U.S. government, many of whose most influential members, like the president himself, are part of the Skull & Bones network.

Skull & Bones was founded at Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut in 1832. It is the oldest and most prestigious of Yale’s seven secret societies. Among the others are: Scroll & Key, Book & Snake, Wolf’s Head, Eliahu, and Berzelius. These fraternities serve as a recruiting ground for young men destined for careers in government, law, finance and other influential sectors of American life.

The Skull & Bones members believe in the idea of “constructive chaos”. By keeping their true policy intentions secret, by constantly sending out mixed signals on all critical policy issues, they consciously seek to sow confusion among both their nominal ‘friends’ and ‘enemies’ alike. The fulcrum for the policy of constructive chaos is, at present, the Middle East situation. Although U.S. military action in the region has for the time being subsided, America’s military power will remain a critical determinant in the future of that vital zone of conflict.

Two critics of the Order, historian Antony Sutton and investigative journalist Ron Rosenbaum (himself a Yale graduate), both concluded that Skull & Bones has degenerated since its founding and has taken on more of the occult and ritualistic trappings of the majority of European freemasonic and illuminati secret societies. Sutton charges that the Order is secretly known among its initiates as the “Brotherhood of Death” and has become an evil instrument in the hands of America’s secret power elite. Rosenbaum claims that the society’s Germanic origins are inherently wicked and pre-Nazi. In a long 1977 article in Esquire magazine, Rosenbaum charged that the Skull & Bones building on the Yale campus houses remnants from Hitler’s private collection of silver.

According to a 1940 Skull & Bones document, the initiation ceremony involves the following kinds of things: “New man placed in coffin and carried into central part of building; New man chanted over and reborn into society; Removed from coffin and given robes with symbols on it. A bone with his name on it is tossed into the bone heap at the start of every meeting.” Within the Skull & Bones Crypt, also known as “the Tomb,” there is what is referred to as a “sacred room” with the number 322. On the arched wall about the vault entrance is inscribed in German: “Who was the fool, who was the wise man, beggar or king? Whether poor or rich, all’s the same in death.”

In the world of Skull & Bones, one of the greatest virtues is the ability to steer the nation into war and to successfully prosecute the war. To the Bonesmen, the use of military power is a natural and essential corollary to political power. The Bonesmen are taught that, although ideas have their place, to truly transform history, military force is almost always required. Critics of the Order have pointed out that this philosophy of power and the imperial use of military force comes straight from the chronicles of the Roman Empire - especially the Roman Empire during its phase of decline and collapse.

The Skull & Bones philosophy, according to several of its most astute critics and historians, emphasises the “double-cross system.” The “double-cross” is symbolically represented by the crossbones on the emblem of the Order. According to this philosophy, anyone who is not an initiate is inferior, and can be lied to and manipulated to further the power of the WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) Establishment. To the extent that world leaders view their American WASP counterparts as men of honor whose word is sacred and whose intentions are presumed to be virtuous, they will miss the fundamental character of the American imperium. This is of special importance today, with a leading member of the Skull & Bones system occupying the White House.
